Hamza Bin Laden, The Son Of Osama Bin Laden Got Killed
Osama bin Laden’s son Hamza, chosen an heir to the leadership of Al-Qaeda, has been killed, US media reported on Wednesday citing American officers.
NBC News stated three US officers had confirmed that they had info of Hamza bin Laden’s death, however, gave no details of the place or date.
The New York Times subsequently cited two US officers saying they’d confirmed that he was killed over the past two years in an operation that involved the USA.
Questioned by reporters in the Oval Office, President Donald Trump didn’t confirm or deny the NBC report.
“I do not wish to comment on it,” he stated.
Each report advised that bin Laden could have been killed well before the US State Department introduced a $1 million bounty on his head in February 2019.
The 15th of Osama bin Laden’s 20 children and a son of his third spouse, Hamza was 30 years old, was “rising as a leader in the Al-Qaeda franchise,” the State Department stated in asserting the reward.
Generally dubbed the “crown prince of jihad, he had put out the audio and video messages calling for attacks on the US and different nations, particularly to avenge his father’s killing by US forces in Pakistan on May 2011, the department stated.
Paperwork seized in the raid on his father’s house in Abbottabad advised Hamza was being groomed as the heir to the Al-Qaeda leadership.
